Keep Your Fourth of July Celebrations Safe By Properly Disposing of Your Fireworks
Make sure you have a safe celebration of our country’s 250th birthday by safely disposing of fireworks.
To properly dispose of used or unused fireworks follow these steps:
(1) Completely submerge them in a large bucket of water and soak until thoroughly saturated. This may take 15 minutes for small fireworks or as long as overnight for larger ones.
(2) Bag the completely soaked fireworks and place them in your trash cart. All items must fit in your cart.
(3) DO NOT PLACE FIREWORKS IN YOUR RECYCLING CART. We are unable to service recycling carts containing fireworks as they will contaminate the load and be rejected at the recycling center.
